Winchester-born Will Homer, the younger brother of Tom, the London Irish and former England U18 and U20 full back, first played the game at Andover RFC at the age of eight. He is studying English, business and physical education at Sherborne School, having previously attended Norman Court School in Salisbury.

Will is a member of the Bath Rugby Academy, has been with the club for five years and benefited from the joint influences of Danny Grewcock and Dave Williams at Bath and David Guy and David Muckalt at Sherborne.

He represented Dorset & Wilts U13-U16 and the South-West U16 team and is aiming for good A-level results when he leaves school and also to represent Bath and England at senior level. Will played twice at U16 international level and captained his Dorset & Wilts in that age group.

Will said: “The match I remember most was when I played for my school against Wolfpack U19 in Canada. We were 19-16 down before the last play and we went the length of the field to score between the posts and win the game.”

He has figured at fly half and centre for Sherborne a few times and the players he most admires are Dan Carter, Quade Cooper and Will Genia.
