Key Facts

PositionScrum half
Height1.61m (5'3")
Weight62kg (9st 10lb)

Scrum half Georgina was born in the rugby-crazy city of Bath but plays her rugby in Lichfield where she has now been for four years. Married to Ben Gulliver, a lock forward, whose own playing career spans a decade with Coventry, Plymouth Albion, Cornish Pirates, Leicester Tigers, Worcester Warriors and now Bedford Blues, Georgina has worked as a gym manager and has been an academy coach at Truro College although she is now focussing her mind on becoming a scrub nurse in theatre at the University of Bedfordshire.

Georgina began playing rugby as a 13 year-old at Avon RFC near Bath and she admits that she has learned a lot from skills coaches Susie Appleby and Ricky Pellow. Georgina initially represented England U18, U19, Students, Academy and A team.

Now with Lichfield, she previously appeared for Avon Ladies, Plymouth Albion and Bristol and has won the European Championships and Six Nations with England. She is a former St John’s Primary, St Gregory’s and Oldfield schools pupil.

Georgina’s most memorable match was the victory over New Zealand at Twickenham in 2009 and her favourite players are Dimitri Yachvili of Biarritz and France and Will Genia from Queensland Reds and Australia.

She enjoys surfing (although that’s probably not that easy to do in Lichfield), horse riding and cookery and she has recently fallen a bit for Saracens’ new ground, Allianz Park.
