It's all about change for Henrietta when it comes to rugby. She may only be 18 but she's played at seven different clubs - Wath mixed – 2002-2004, Barnsley mixed – 2004-2006, Goole girls - 2007 -2008, Castleford - 2008 -2009, Barnsley girls - 2009 -2011, Worcester U18's - 2011 -2013 and finally Lichfield Women – and since the age of seven, when she first picked up a rugby ball, she's gone from scrum half to fly half to centre until finally settling into the front row.
Older brother George, who played rugby for England Under 16s, is the main reason Henrietta got into rugby and current England Elite player Danielle Waterman along with former British and Irish Lion and England winger, John Bentley are Henrietta's mentors in the game. They've done a pretty good job so far, too. With six seasons representing Yorkshire, two seasons with the RFU Talent Development Group, a year with UK School games 7s, CB Schools training, Midlands Academy and now the England U20s squad, Henrietta's rugby CV reads well.
She's very much a Yorkshire lass, having lived most of her life there and been educated at St Mary Catholic Primary School, Sheffield Ecclesfield School, Sheffield Wakefield Independent School and Wakefield Hallcross Grammer School so it comes as no surprise she's a Leeds Carnegie and Leeds Rhinos fan.
She is now, however, a student at Harper Adams University, Shropshire, studying a Bsc Honours in Food and Consumer Studies, something she's trying to add to her BTEC Level 3 National Diploma Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE) from Hartpury College.
