Sport is in the Chenoweth family. Lauren's uncle is part of the Great Britain Surf Rowing team, her dad and granddad both played rugby and it was her dad who got her into the game at the spritely age of five. Netball is a big part of Lauren's life, too. She represented Cornwall from the age of 14 to 16 and captained her school side for two years but it's rugby that's taken over now.
She played her first game for Newquay and, after starting at fly-half, has moved out to play in the centres where she's now representing Worcester. She was captain of the Cornwall Under 18s and took the armband for one game whilst representing South west Under 18s but her proudest moment to date is her first Under 20s cap for England against Canada.
After Penryn College and Truro College, both in Cornwall, she now finds herself studying Sports Education at The University of Gloucestershire.
Her favourite holiday destination is New Zealand and she loves to belt out “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” on the microphone when doing karaoke but when it comes to relaxation, there's likes nothing like enjoying the sunshine. Actually, jazz-funk ace, Roy Ayres, once sand a song called ‘Everyone Loves the Sunshine’ so perhaps that should be here next karaoke choice.
