Having started out as a centre, Lucie has found her way into the back row and, having loved the switch, now wants to emulate the likes of current England Elite squad members Marlie Packer and Maggie Alphonsi and two of the men's top players, Australia's David Pocock and England captain, Chris Robshaw, in becoming one of the best flankers in the world.
After stints at Eton Manor RFC, where she first started playing rugby at the age of nine, and later Rochford RFC, Lucie now finds herself at Worcester. She holds her Dad, who played rugby for 32 years, as her biggest influence in the game and Kevin Mogridge as her mentor.
It's not just about tackling and passing for Lucie however. She's more than happy sitting on saddle, throwing someone to the ground or jumping over something. Yup, Lucie loves her horse riding, judo and athletics and in Jessica Ennis, like so many of this Under 20s squad, she has someone she looks up to.
Lucie has four Under 20 caps so far and can add playing for Essex Under 18s to her list of rugby achievements. “Running straight into the posts before rolling off and scoring a try”, however, ranks up there as her funniest moment in the game to date.
Lucie attended Nightingale Primary, Wanstead High School and Moulton College before embarking on a Strength and Conditioning course at the University of Gloucestershire.
She's a big Northampton Saints fan and would love to be a professional rugby player in her own right. If she could have any three people over for dinner, Chris Robshaw, Jessica Ennis and singer Jessie J would be the guest list. In the meantime, though, she's happy working her way up through the England ranks.
