Cut Sarah in half and she'll bleed red, green and blue. Why? Because they are the colours of Lichfield RFC – the club she's played for since the age of six. Her brother, who played at Lichfield, and her dad are responsible for introducing Sarah to the game and we're grateful they did.
The fly-half/inside centre could have gone down the football route having been a member of the Aston Villa Academy and she won the English Schools FA Cup with The Friary School, Lichfield. She also attended St Stephens School but now finds herself at Hartpury College where she's in her first year of a Sports Coaching Degree.
Sarah is a big Leicester Tigers and Aston Villa fan and when she's not playing, supporting or studying sport, you'll find her in her role as Senior Paintball Marshall at Delta Force Paintball in where else but Lichfield.
She was born, not in Lichfield but just outside the West Midlands in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. However, she moved to the UK aged one and was destined to be involved in sport. Her uncle, John Nicholas, is a professional golfer, her brother and father both played rugby and her mother coaches the under 18s at Lichfield.
Apart from being “blown over by the wind whilst playing in Barnsley” Sarah has had great success in the game captaining Lichfield under 15s and 18s and representing Staffordshire Under 15s and 18s and Midlands Under 18s and seniors.
Jonny Wilkinson and Manu Tuilagi are her most admired players in the world of rugby and David Beckham is the man outside of the game she looks up to. If she could have any job in the world it would be a killer whale trainer at Sea World in Florida. Come on, you could have guessed that couldn’t you?
