The RFU AASE League provides a competitive structure specifically for the 11 educational establishments running the Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence programme in partnership with the Rugby Football Union and the Premiership Academies.

2012/13 AASE League Fixtures

Important dates to remember:

  • Festival 1 – September 5, 2012
  • Play Offs – April 17, 2013
  • Finals – April 24, 2013

The league is designed to offer the Elite players enrolled on the AASE course a consistently challenging fixtures list which aids skill development.

The 11 competing teams are broken into North and South pools of six and five teams respectively, each team plays the others in their pool home and away before a play off between the pools determines the season's grand finalists.
