RFU Qualification Courses
The RFU has a four-stage qualification scheme for coaches who want to develop their skills and knowledge of rugby union. Through a series of theory and practical sessions, allied to home study and competency based assessments, coaches can take their skills up to professional standards.
The courses have been developed by the RFU, in conjunction with the Scottish an Welsh Rugby Unions, and are aligned to the UK Coaching Certificate Criteria.
A concise introduction to the four-tiered coaching qualifications (PDF 105kB) will give you a brief description of the courses, who they are aimed at, prerequisites and course outcomes.
To apply for a RFU qualification course at any of the above levels, please use the RFU Coach Education Course Application Form (MS Word DOC 1MB).
