The 1st4Sport Certificates in Coaching Strength and Conditioning (CCSC) are vocationally related qualifications, studying both practical and theoretical aspects of coaching strength and conditioning. They are also accredited on the National Qualifications Framework.

Courses are largely practical based, and you will be given opportunities to develop your coaching through hands on work. Candidates are required to be a minimum of 16 years to register for a level one CCSC, or L1CCSC, and courses range in length from a weekend to a week. Assessment is competency based, meaning that you will be continually assessed throughout the course and receive any required support and action accordingly, during the course. Candidates are also expected to fulfil home-study tasks.

For further information on what the CCSC courses comprise of, how to apply, and minimum requirements for candidates download the following Level 1-3 CCSC overview document (PDF 96kB).
