The RFU strongly recommends that all referees, irrespective of the age group they are officiating at, undertake the Entry Level Referee Award (ELRA).  However, if you are only interested in gaining an understanding of how to referee mini and midi rugby, then you could attend the RFU Mini Midi Refereeing course.

Prior to attending the course, you will be required to complete the online iRB Rugby Ready programme. You will then need to download your RugbyReady certificate and bring it with you to the course.  You will not receive your Mini Midi course certificate until you have completed the RugbyReady programme.  The online IRB Laws Test is a useful resource which you may also wish to complete.

Take a look at the Refereeing Mini Midi Refereeing course information (PDF 28kB) and the ELRA & Mini Midi course calendar (PDF 77kB).
