Testing conducted under the RFU Testing Programme and by other authorised testing bodies, such as the IRB or RBS 6 Nations must be conducted in accordance with the WADA International Standard for Testing.

When tested abroad, you may notice that the testing procedures vary slightly from country to country however it is important that the sample collection procedures adhere to the International Standard for Testing and therefore, your rights as a player should be maintained.

Further details on sample-collection procedures for both urine and blood can be found on the UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) website or you can download the IRB Doping Control Guidelines (PDF 157kB).
