All roads in and around Twickenham can get extremely busy on match days. Approach roads are under the direction of the police and those such as London Road, Whitton Road and Rugby Road can be closed to traffic for up to 90 minutes in the run up to the start of each match. The roads can also be closed for up to an hour post event as pedestrians will have priority of exit from the area, so please plan to be here early and be prepared to be held for at least an hour at the end of the match until the roads are clear.
Parking can applied for on accessible ticket application forms. Alternatively, if you have purchased seating already and just wish to book Blue Badge parking, please visit www.eticketing.co.uk/rfu. In both instances you will have to send in a copy of your Blue Badge (that will be valid and displayed on match day) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Parking will be allocated in available car parks, which can vary match to match. If you have a preference then please state it on your application, but bear in mind not all car parks are available for all matches, and space in some is extremely limited so we may not be able to accommodate your request.
Customers arriving several hours before kick-off, prior to any road closures being implemented, will be able to drop off at the perimeter of the stadium before parking.
Tesco Car Park
Tesco Car Park is the largest car park available to us, and so is used primarily for major internationals and other sell-out matches. It is entirely on hard-standing and so it is the most suitable car park for wheelchair users. There are a number of dedicated Blue Badge holder bays, but the majority of spaces are standard sized. The car park is marshalled on match days, but parking is unreserved so you are advised to arrive as early as possible, and no later than 90 minutes before kick-off.
Tesco Car Park is approximately five minutes’ walk from the North East corner of the stadium. There is a hard-standing pavement all the way from the car park to the stadium.
West Car Park
The number of spaces we can allocate in the West Car Park varies from match to match as the West Car Park is also used for match-day entertainment. Spaces are extremely limited for major internationals and so it is unlikely we’d be able to accommodate requests for West Car Park spaces. It is directly next to the West Stand, but its proximity to the stadium and popularity means that access can be extremely difficult on major match days and access roads are often closed for the longest. It is predominantly hard-standing but there are no dedicated disabled access bays.
North Car Park
The North Car Park is directly behind the North Stand. It is very gravelly and there is no hard standing area. For this reason we would not recommend the North Car Park wheelchair users or customers with difficulties walking. However, if we have availability and you do not need a hard-standing surface we may be able to allocate you a North Car Park pass if you specifically request it.
Cardinal Vaughan is off-site to the west of the Stadium. It is a grassy playing-field and if there is any inclement weather it is not suitable for customers with access requirements.
Rosebine Avenue is approximately a 15-minute walk from the stadium, next to the Twickenham Stoop on the A316. As it is by far the furthest away, we would not allocate Rosebine Avenue to customers with access requirements.
