Rugby in Focus

Rugby in review

The World Rugby Museum presents a new exhibition called “Rugby in Focus”. This exhibition aims to highlight and show a range of photographic material from the collection.

The World Rugby Museum is the largest specialist rugby museum in the world and has approximately 8000 photographs in its collection. These range from the 19th Century to the present day, including photographs from on and off the pitch, showing the powerful responses and passions for the game.
These images allow the onlooker a chance to view a moment which would be difficult to portray through other means and would otherwise be lost.

The exhibition represents the diverse nature of the photographs within the collection. It offers a unique opportunity to glimpse a range of photographs from all areas of the game, from the team photograph to action shots during the match, and the loyal spectators watching. As well as some of the most iconic and recognisable photographs, the display includes some of the more unusual images from within the collection.

The exhibition runs from 3rd July 2012 until January 2013.
