Key Stage 2
Rugby Strips and Textiles
This workshop will investigate how rugby strips, boots and equipment have evolved since the 1840s.
Students will be taught to examine how materials and design have developed and improved due to innovations in technology and changes within the sport such as professionalism and commercialism.
The workshop will culminate with a fun object-handling session in which students will get the opportunity to try on the different outfits held in the museum’s support collection. Student teams will receive points for correctly identifying different garments.
