England Under 20s pair Jack Clifford and Nathan Morris were awarded BMW Player of the Tournament and BMW Man of the Tour, respectively, after England's 23-15 IRB Junior World Championship final win against Wales.

The medal winners, selected by Head Coach Nick Walshe and Assistant Ian Peel, were rewarded for their hard work and commitment shown throughout the Junior World Championship campaign.

Captain Clifford, who was also shortlisted for IRB Junior Player of the Year, produced a series of excellent displays throughout the competition and was delighted to pick up the medal, he said: "It's always nice to get some recognition, but like any award in rugby, it's all about the team.

"The Championship win was a real team effort, we showed guts to come back from 15-3 down in the final and that's a credit to the guys. Wales were excellent in the first half and caused us problems, but to win the trophy was amazing, and it's great to get this medal on top too.

"BMW have been excellent for us throughout the season, they've supported us and we've been lucky enough to have the likes of Mark Hunter and David Weir come in and talk to us and it's been great."

BMW Man of the Tour Nathan Morris added: "I'm really honoured to pick this medal up – I've just kept my head down and worked hard throughout the competition. The squad were extremely tight-knit and I'm over the moon to be able to call myself a JWC winner - it hasn't sunk in yet to be honest."
