Keith Kent, the RFU head groundsman at Twickenham Stadium, will be visiting the North Midlands next month.

Kent, who has been in charge of the hallowed turf at Twickenham since September 2002, will run a workshop at Five Ways OE’s Hopwood ground on April 23 after visits to the Oswestry, Kings Norton and Harborne clubs during the day.

The Five Ways workshop will be on pitch care and maintenance and is free to all rugby clubs, schools, colleges and universities.

Kent was previously head groundsman at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium following on from 17 years working at Leicester City FC.

Places at the Five Ways workshop can be booked through Peter Grace at:peterwgrace@hotmail.com.
